I am so happy right now we got to go to the drive in theater tonight. It just opened this weekend. I feel sorry for people who have never been before.
I have fond memories from childhood of my uncle taking me & his daughter to the drive in. He loved to & he would take us with him. My parents would never go. I have got them to go twice in my life. My uncle would always make popcorn before we went & would stop at Burger King on the way & get us cheeseburgers. I still remember the first movie he took us to it was "Clash of the Titians". I know I am aging myself admitting it, but it is a very good memory. I don't get to see the uncle very much anymore.
We watched Drillbit Taylor & Spiderwick. They were both good movies. The only problem we had was that it started to rain some while we were there. I am so very glad that we still have 2 drive in within @ 30 minutes drive of our home. I figure they are some of the last few in our state. The one in our county closed up several years ago, it was in very bad shape. I still hated to see it close.
